Privacy Policy
The NWPS Engine ("the Engine") is a private business dashboard built and operated by Alset Technologies ("Alset") for Northwest Production Source ("NWPS"). It isn't a public product and has no public sign-up. This policy explains what data the Engine handles and how.
1. What the Engine collects
The Engine reads business data from systems NWPS has connected and stores periodic snapshots in its own database:
- Intuit QuickBooks Online (read-only, via authorized OAuth access): open invoices and bills, including document numbers, customer and vendor names, amounts, balances, and due dates. The Engine never creates, changes, or deletes anything in QuickBooks.
- Silkline and Airtable: order, RFQ, and supplier records from NWPS's operating systems.
- Company email (Google Workspace): message content and metadata from designated NWPS mailboxes, used to triage the inbox and detect purchase orders.
- Slack: messages from channels the Engine's bot has been invited to.
- Account data: usernames and passwords (stored only as salted hashes) for dashboard logins, plus a session cookie.
2. How that data is used
Only to run NWPS's operations: dashboards, a daily operational brief, past-due receivable and payable summaries, purchase-order tracking, and alerts to NWPS's own Slack. The Engine sends limited excerpts to Anthropic's Claude API to classify emails and draft the brief; under Anthropic's commercial terms that data isn't used to train models. No data is used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to NWPS's business.
3. Where it lives and how it's protected
Data is stored in a database on infrastructure controlled by NWPS and Alset in the United States. Connections to every source system use TLS encryption. API credentials are kept out of source control, dashboard passwords are hashed (PBKDF2-SHA256), and access requires an individual login issued by the operator.
4. Who can see it
Authorized NWPS personnel with dashboard accounts, and Alset Technologies as the contracted builder and operator of the system. Nothing is sold, rented, or shared with third parties. The only outside processors are the connected services named above and Anthropic as described in section 2.
5. QuickBooks disconnection and deletion
NWPS can revoke the Engine's QuickBooks access at any time from QuickBooks Online (Apps → connected apps) or by asking Alset. On disconnection or request, stored QuickBooks data is deleted from the Engine's database.
6. Retention
Snapshots are retained for trend reporting for the duration of the engagement between Alset and NWPS. At the end of the engagement, or on request, data is handed over to NWPS or deleted.
7. Cookies
One cookie: the login session. No analytics, no trackers, no third-party cookies.
8. Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
